At Gradwell Communications we love being part of the thriving tech community in the Bath and Bristol region. To prove our dedication to local talent and ensure everyone gets some well-deserved recognition, we’d like to tell you about the SPARKies 2014 awards.
The SPARKies 2014 awards shine a light on the best tech people, products and companies in the area and it’s up to you to make sure all such praiseworthy candidates are known to the community. Here’s your chance to shout about excellence in digital and tech projects by putting forward those you think should be recognised for innovation and contribution to the tech world.
The awards are made up of 14 categories, including Best Startup, Biggest Success Story and Best Mentor, so there are plenty of chances to put forward your choices. Hundreds of entries are expected this year and we’ve heard the awards ceremony on the 30th October (during the popular Digital Festival) should be quite an entertaining night. Head on over to the SPARKies website and nominate your choices – it only takes a few minutes and the deadline is October 3rd so don’t miss out! Submit your nominations today!
On a side note, this is also a great opportunity to prove to the rest of the country that there’s more to the South West than just cider and beautiful countryside. A recent report confirmed that Bath and Bristol’s tech community is of ‘global significance’ and the region has now been dubbed ‘Silicon Gorge’, so let’s make sure we demonstrate why we deserve that accolade!
